Dünyanın en kaliteli yağlı fındığının üretildiği Giresun’da özellikle sahil ve orta kesimlerde sıcaklıkların artmasıyla birlikte fındık dallarında karanfillerin (tomurcuk) açması ve tozlaşmayı sağlayacak püsküllerin oluşması, üreticileri sevindirdi. Ancak mart ayında yaşanması muhtemel zirai don riski, üreticileri endişelendiriyor.
Konuyla ilgili açıklama yapan Keşap Ziraat Odası Başkanı Abdullah Şahin, “Karadeniz Bölgesi’nde sıcaklıklar mevsim normallerinin üzerinde seyrediyor. Bu durum fındık dallarında karanfil açma sürecini hızlandırdı. Fındık dallarında karanfillerin açması ve püsküllerin tozlanması süreci normal bir şekilde ilerliyor. Ancak mart ve nisan aylarında yaşanabilecek zirai don riski hala devam ediyor” dedi.
Şahin, bölgede sahil ve orta kesimlere kar yağmasa da bunun fındık doğumuna olumsuz bir etki yapmadığını ifade ederek “Geçtiğimiz aylarda seyreden soğuk hava, fındıkta soğukluk oluşumunu tamamladı. Ancak son günlerde sıcaklıkların mevsim normallerinin üzerinde devam etmesi, fındıkta erken karanfil açılımı ve tozlaşma sürecini başlatmış durumda. Eğer bu sıcaklıklar birkaç gün daha devam ederse, tamamen karanfil açımı ve tozlaşma süreci başlamış olacaktır. Fındık dallarında şu anda gözle görülebilir şekilde 6-7 karanfilin sayılabiliyor. Bu durum rekoltenin iyi olacağını işaret ediyor. Ancak, gelecek haftalarda özellikle de mart ayında yağacak kar ve zirai don riski devam ediyor” diye konuştu.
